Beth’s Piano Studio ~ Soli Deo Gloria

Policy Letter for 2024 - 2025

My Schedule

  • Out of respect for my time and for the time of my other students, lessons will start and end on time. If something occurs that causes a lesson to start late, it will still end on time.

  • I have put my start and end dates as well as any holidays that fall on regularly scheduled lesson days on my registration form.

Payment

  • I charge a monthly fee and payment is due either in-person at the first lesson of each month or delivered via the U.S. Postal Service before the second lesson of the month.

  • Tuition is the same amount for months with three (3), four (4), or five (5) lessons scheduled according to my registration form. I do not offer discounts for months with three (3) lessons scheduled and I do not increase tuition for months with five (5) lessons scheduled. I do apply a discount for tuition for months with two (2) lessons scheduled according to my registration form. For months with fewer lessons than scheduled according to my registration form, see below ("Missed Lessons").

  • Payment for new books or supplies that I purchase on your behalf will be due at the first lesson of the month after they are purchased. This will be reflected in your monthly statement.

  • I accept cash or check.

  • If your check bounces:

    • you still owe me for that month’s lessons

    • you need to pay for all fees and expenses associated with the bounced check

    • I will only accept cash payment afterwards

    • I will suspend lessons until payment is made

    • you still owe me for the lessons you missed due to being suspended

  • Late payments: I allow one late payment (seven [7] calendar days late or less) per family per lesson year. After that, I charge an additional $10.00 fee per student as penalty for late payments.

Missed Lessons

  • I do not offer make-up lessons for cancelled lessons.

  • If you cancel your lesson, you are still responsible for paying for that lesson. You must cancel your lesson if you are sick, should be in quarantine, etc.

  • If I am unable to teach in-person (due to me being mildly ill or in quarantine, etc.), we will have your lesson at your normal day and time via video conference. If you do not attend the video conference lesson, it counts as if you had cancelled the lesson.

  • If I cannot teach in-person or via video conference, I will apply a discount to your next month’s lessons as compensation for my inability to teach that day.

  • If you need to cancel a lesson, you must notify me as soon as possible via email. If I need to switch to a video conference lesson or cancel a lesson I will let you know as soon as possible via email.

  • I do not offer video conference lessons for lessons that you are unable to attend in-person.
